Mission

Our mission is to help people embrace their diverse cultural heritage and promote freedom and equality. We provide help by organizing events, traveling, free language and history courses, grants for vocational school training and college tuition scholarships.

How

This is a non-profit organization sponsored by members and non-members, and all people who recognize the importance of preserving diversity in the ever more globalizing world.

Why

A man without history is like a tree without roots -- Marcus Garvey

Whether you are the first or fifth generation American, there are things that you should not forget and that your children should learn. The focus of this organization is two fold:

  • The Pursuit of Happiness - a concept that should not be forgotten.
  • Nurture of Cultural Heritage - something so valuable and yet so difficult for immigrants finding themselves alone and far away from home, family and friends.

The Pursuit of Happiness

Question: Why should a person's skin color or ethnicity affect their right to receive and afford an education?

Answer: It shouldn't.

Official answer: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." - Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776

In an imperfect world as it is now, there is an absolute need for an organization like ours that wants to raise awareness and provide solutions for issues that many are aware of, but few want to talk about. Politicians introduced artificial categories, groups, and issues that people now talk about and spend their energy on. In the meantime, the real issues are ignored. We live in a society where hundreds of billions are spent on wrong causes and useless government agencies, and where big corporate lobbyist get our representatives to work in their interest instead of ours. All awhile, we talk about if our children will be able to go to school? Shouldn't all kids be able to get an education? Shouldn't those that need most help get it, regardless on where their parents come from?

We should teach our kids why our ancestors left their countries and families when they came to the New Continent searching for an American Dream. Our ancestors went through hardships so that their descendants could make a decent living in a society built on liberty and freedom. They would not want their grandchildren to think about searching for yet another new continent to find happiness. We need to preserve our ancestors' dreams of opportunity and make them a reality.

Through many generations we worked hard and helped build this country. We are very proud that only few asked for government help. Although some may not need help, many do, and mainly because our tax money is being spent in improper ways and for improper causes. We, as a part of the hardworking backbone of what this country was built on, should do our part to ensure the preservation of our future generation's education and skills that will empower them to find and create jobs and entrepreneurships, whether it be in computer science, plumbing, or masonry.

Nurture of Cultural Heritage

Our grandparents came to this country. They left their families and friends, homes, streets, and cities. It was a huge sacrifice for every immigrant, but a hope was very strong, a hope of finding a place where work, freedom, liberty, religious and political tollerance, and cultural diversity are respected. Immigrants embraced American culture and strived to nurture their own. For the newcomers arriving without family it was particularly difficult. We, the immigrants and descendants of immigrants, created a new culture, a culture that is so diverse, and yet, in the time of globalization and mass media, it is in danger. We became concerned with what celebrities do and have strayed from important things like family and family values. If however we learn and remember history, and try to preserve and achieve what our parents were working on, than we have achieved our mission.
